Getting Started at Clay Target Shooting is Easy!...
You don’t need a shotgun license or your own shotgun all you need to do is to contact us to arrange an introductory lesson.
These are held by prior arrangement normally on a Saturday morning before our practise sessions begin.
The cost is just $30 for 20 targets and this includes the use of one of our club guns, your targets, shells and free instruction from a qualified person. It is even better if you can organise a group of friends and come along as a shooting party, this is a great way to pass a couple of hours.
The minimum age is 11 and you must wear enclosed shoes, bring eye protection and photo ID.
Certain criminal convictions exclude you from participating so if you have had a criminal conviction in the past please check here to see that you are not an excluded person.
Ladies are more than welcome and please don’t worry about recoil as we recently purchased a 28 gauge shotgun (smaller, lighter and with less recoil) specifically for the use by those of a smaller frame.
We have a club house serving light refreshments but please not that we currently have no EFTPOS facilities.
If you already hold a license you are welcome to come along for practise on Saturday afternoons from 1:00pm click here (view our calendar here) to check that it is not a Saturday before a Sporting Clays competition when we are closed. Remember to bring your license with you whenever you come to the club.
All licensed shooters are welcome to compete in any of our Sunday competitions.
