Obtaining a Firearms Licence in Queensland

In order to obtain a Queensland Firearms Licence, applicants must first obtain a "statement of attainment" showing that they have completed an approved safety training course for weapons (within the previous 12 month period).

At Caboolture Clay Target Club we employ the services of Glenn Walker who is a registered trainer. Glenn runs regular courses at Caboolture which cost $95.

If you have any questions, please give Glenn a call on 0411 402 010 or email him glenn@650straightskeet.com.au

To obtain your Queensland Firearms Licence you are also required to demonstrate a "genuine reason" to possess a firearm. Membership of an approved club such as ours is one such reason.

NOTE: Qld Weapons Licensing recently introduced a new system for processing licence applications which has resulted in significant delays in the issue of new licences, so we would encourage you to sign up for a course sooner rather than later.
